Rakuten Advertising parameter

What is the ranSiteID parameter?

ranSiteID is Rakuten Advertising's rakuten tracking ids (ransiteid / ranmid / raneaid). Rakuten appends a trio of parameters to merchant URLs: ranMID (merchant), ranEAID (your account), ranSiteID (click/site reference). Seeing them on the landing page is quick proof the Rakuten pipeline fired end-to-end.

Where it appears

Appended to the merchant URL after the redirect

Example

https://merchant.com/product?ranMID=12345&ranEAID=abcDEF&ranSiteID=xyz-123

If ranSiteID is missing

Rakuten registers the click at the linksynergy hop; cleaned final URLs can still track via cookie. Confirm clicks in your Rakuten dashboard.

How Rakuten Advertising tracking fits together

Rakuten deep links use click.linksynergy.com/deeplink with your ID, the merchant ID (mid), and the destination in murl. On click, Rakuten registers the event and redirects, appending ranMID/ranEAID/ranSiteID tracking parameters to the merchant URL.

Since the destination lives in murl, the link has two failure surfaces: the Rakuten program itself, and the murl page. Both need checking on every audit.
