Tracking parameter

A tracking parameter is a query-string key/value in an affiliate URL that carries attribution data — who referred the click (awinaffid, aff_id), which campaign (offer_id, camref), or the click itself (awc, irclickid, cjevent).

Parameters divide into ones you put in the link (your IDs, sub-IDs, destinations) and ones the network appends during redirect (click IDs). The appended kind doubles as a health signal: seeing awc or irclickid on the merchant URL proves the network registered the click.
