Sub-ID (SubID)

A sub-ID is a publisher-defined tracking value added to an affiliate link — clickref (Awin), sharedid (Impact), afftrack (ShareASale), aff_sub (TUNE) — that the network echoes back in conversion reports, letting you attribute revenue to specific content or placements.

Sub-IDs are the difference between "the channel earned $900 this month" and "video #42 earned $312, these three videos earned nothing." Disciplined per-placement sub-IDs turn network reports into a content-level ROI map, and they cost nothing.
